Salsa
This recipe is from a customer at Norm's. She was getting the ingredients as she was going to make it. When hearing the ingredients it sounded like something we would like. She shared her recipe and we love it. This year I will need to make 2 batches! Thank you for sharing it!
10 cups peeled chopped tomatoes
8 cups chopped sweet onions
2 cups white sugar
2 1/2 cups vinegar
5 chopped Jalepenos - include seeds
4 banana peppers chopped - remove seeds
2 large green pepper chopped - remove seeds
1 large red pepper chopped - remove seeds
5 tablespoons salt
4 Tablespoons chili powder
2 Tablespoons paprika
4 teaspoons powder red ceyenne pepper
5 cloves chopped garlic
Bring the above ingredients to a boil in a large stock pan. Boil a good 10 minutes.
Add 1 1/3 cups corn starch and boil another 15 minutes.
Seal in canning jars. I seal them in 1/2 pint and pint jars.
This salsa has a sassy flavor with a touch of sweetness.
Better than you can buy!
